kirir
I had a baby 2 months ago and I would like to get back into the gym, the think is finding the time to go. Ideally I would like to go during the day a few times a week for an hour. Does anyone know if there are any gyms around the area that offer any childcare/creche facilites? I used to go to Hamlets health club, they do a parents memebership but don't have any child care. Or are there any other new mums who have had the same idea, we could take turns looking after each others babies, just an idea! Mellors
Peckham Pulse creche from 6 months.Beckenham Spa has a great creche from 3 months.I think ESPH on Lordship Lane has creche facilities on a couple of mornings?I'm not sure what the arrangements will be when ED leisure centre re-opens, but it used to have a creche from 6 months. apenn
ESPH on Lordshiph Lanehas a creche, though I've never used it. They have yoga and pilates classes that you can take your baby to, as does Push Studios. I've taken the yoga and pilates classes at ESPH and enjoyed it.-Amanda Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/10311-gyms-with-creche/#findComment-304162 Share on other sites
amydown
Yes, ESPH does have a creche - Tuesday and Thursday mornings 9.30-12.30. It costs ?6/hour for members and is run by a lovely lady. We used the facility couple of times but we have managed to find a part-time nanny who is lovely. She comes to our house for 2 hours every morning Mon-Wed and then 3 hours on Friday.I just felt that our little one was too young to be in the creche with other toddlers (baby is now 5m old) running around although they do limit the numbers. The postnatal pilates is quite good and yes, you can take the baby with you in the pram. I went to a class last week and managed to stay for 40 mins until the baby stated screaming :)I researched and researched into this for a couple of months and am really happy with the arrangement now!
