Hi BusyB,

I saw a lady at Health Matters on Lordship Lane (possible Claire, but it was a good 2 or 3 years ago so I may have her name wrong).

Anyway, she was very good and it seemed to help with my fertility problems.

Good luck with your IVF.

Hiya, if it is someone specialising in fertility rather than a general acupuncturist the Zita West network is meant to be good - though not local, and pricey.

I understand that there is also a big acupuncture training centre in Camden that has a fertility section, they may be able to recommend someone in SE London.

Yes, Claire Battersby at Health Matters is a fertility specialist

Hi

I went to a guy at the vale practice, which is on grove vale (can't remeber his name though, i think it might have been italian?) during my ivf a couple of years back. I got pregnant first time trying and now have a beautiful healthy baby boy.

Good luck xx

That's her Fuschia, Claire Battersby.

Personally I would go with someone local, the last thing you need right now is the stress of travelling all over London for treatments.

Very easy for me to say now I've got my 2nd I know. But I think stress and worry contributes massively to the success of any fertility treatment / issues so feel it is important to keep life as simple as possible at times like this.

Hang in there, it took us 3 years, 3 miscarriages and an ectopic before we managed to have our second (was good at falling pregnant but no good at keeping them :-( ), but we got there in the end.

Hugs, Molly

    • I’m currently conducting exploratory research into menstrual health education in UK secondary schools and would really value the insight of PSHE leads, Heads of Year, or pastoral staff.    The research aims to understand:   How the menstrual cycle is currently taught within the RSHE framework Where schools feel confident — and where there may be gaps Whether students are taught and  asking questions around the full menstrual cycle, symptoms, wellbeing and conditions such as PMS/PMDD or endometriosis How schools support students in feeling empowered to understand their bodies and seek help appropriately Whether education around nutrition, lifestyle, and menstrual wellbeing is currently addressed   The long-term goal is to explore whether there is a need for additional, age-appropriate, medically informed support on the menstrual cycle.  I’m not selling a programme and there is no obligation beyond a 30 minute informal chat online (Unpaid). All conversations will be confidential and used only to inform the research. If you work in a UK secondary school and would be willing to share your perspective, I would be extremely grateful to hear from you. Please comment below or email me [email protected] Thank you for the vital work you do. Best wishes, Emma
