Wondering if anyone knows of a nice country retreat/cottage. We're looking to get away for 2-3 nights in mid May, ideally self-catering. Anywhere in UK - just somewhere tranquil :)

This 4* holiday barn near Bath is in a lovely countryside location http://www.holidaybarn.co.uk/, I know it well and can tell you it is tranquil and a great base for local walks around the West country.

Cottages 4 u have a huge selection.

The missus and I (with various friends dropping in) have twice been to this little one in the middle of a very picturesque steep valley in the west Brecons.
