Geese at Goose Green!

East Dulwich residents were amazed this morning when they drew back their curtains to see a flock of hundreds of Canada Geese had landed on the grassy area known as Goose Green. Local Wildfowl expert Dr Justin Phun said the geese were probably resting before they make their long journey home to Iceland.

They'd better hurry up as it's soon to become Waitrose.

Waitrose? I heard it was going to be a multi-storey car park.

Those (few) of you who were living in ED in the 80s (Thatcher's Britain) may remember the radio announcement of the Argentine invasion of Goose Green. It seemed a little close for comfort.
