I won't dwell on the fascistic undertones of Joy Division's name and the 'ovens' reference. Too grisly.

I will however mention in passing, that if Ian Curtis had had a pair of JD oven gloves, he may have thought twice about topping himself on the eve of an American tour. You never know.

And in fact if New Order had access to a pair each, they might not have been able to so easily grab handfuls of cash and throw it towards The Hacienda.

Tony Wilson could have done with two pairs.
