They cost between ?1000 and ?1500 installed (we looked into it for our local park). They are common place in Europe. ONe youngster who was involved in gangs got into table tennis and it turned his life around (he's now a champion table tennis player and helps other kids who were in a similar circumstance to him to take up the game). In a local youth centre near where I live there are indoor tables and they are often used.

So don't be such a grump! ;-)

I think it's a great use of budget, ping pong is fun!

    • Sorry if the answer to this has been posted before, but I have done a search and I can't find it. Is the hospice shop accepting books (and books of music) at the moment?
    • I echo the previous recommendation of Aria. I have used his services on several occasions now and I am always impressed by 1) the speed of his response,  2) his honest pricing,  3) the quality of his interventions.  I had a washing machine crisis the other day where my old appliance started leaking badly and into the flat below.  Aria can within an hour of my call and sorted the whole thing immediately.  Impressive! Highly recommended!
    • Helen Hayes has represented Dulwich and West Norwood since the boundary change in 2024. The OP said Helen had already contacted Capita on their behalf, so I'm guessing she is their MP, otherwise she would have directed them to the appropriate person (unless she was particularly keen to take on extra work!)
    • Hi there. I need to move and it doesn't feel very eco friendly to buy boxes - if anyone has any I could reuse?  Happy to return once I've moved if you want to keep them! I'm moving Feb 26th so I'd be looking for some to use before then. Thank you! Kate
