Piano Lessons in South East London

Recommended Posts

Hello, I'm J?lia Fernandes!

I am a concert pianist and piano teacher from Brazil looking for new pupils in the South East area of London.

I have a Bachelor Degree (Magna cum Laude) in Piano Performance from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and I am now a Master of Music Student at Goldsmiths, studying Performance and Related Studies.

I speak fluent English (IELTS Band 8.0/ Advanced course from Studio, School of English, Cambridge) and have 5 years of experience teaching music.

I have been living in London since 2015 and have been working here as a private piano teacher and piano accompanist.

My last job in Brazil was at Centro Musical Antonio Adolfo, a music school created by this Brazilian composer who has been member of IAJE (International Association For Jazz Education) and IASJ (International Association Of Schools Of Jazz) for many years. I have taught children, teenagers and adults from beginner to advanced level. I'm specialised in teaching Classical repertoire and also have experience teaching Brazilian Music to international students.

    • Another big thumbs up for Will from me. I've had bass lessons with Will over the past year after a 30 year break, and they've been great. He approached our lessons from a songwriting perspective, which was perfect for my needs.  I played bass in a band for a few years in the 1990s but never really knew what I was doing. A year with Will has given me a far better understanding of music theory and how bass relates to other instruments in a band.  Thank you Will!
    • Hi How about finding a neighbour with a cat and arranging reciprical cat feeding?  I have always found that as long as they are fed once or twice a day  cats are fine on their own for 2 or 3 weeks.  Much better than they would be in a cattery.
    • Yes, time to drain the swamp that is the White House.
    • A fair amount hangs on SCOTUS in the coming days. Will they prop up Trump's powers under Executive Orders or choose to support Congress? Some of the Judges are clearly corrupt but perhaps others, like Coney Barrett, will grow a conscience.
