helena handbasket
I know, I couldn't have managed without it. Mine was almost 10 lbs so close to 20 by six months, and I'm a bit height challenged myself. I would have had to drop him in and hoist him out! Ours had quite an easy mechanism so it wasn't a problem. But apparently the up and down wears the hardware and consequently loosens the rail, which makes the space too large (if I recall the space should be less than two fingers wide?) Honestly his head was so huge I doubt he could have got it stuck in there. But I was so paranoid in the first year that my goal was to just "keep it alive", so I know I would be a nervous wreck knowing about the safety risk. Bonkers yes. crystal7
We made a mistake in buying the Cosatto Close to Me cot. One side slides under the cot so you can pull it right up to your bed. When we moved my daughter into a cot (around 3 months) she was still waking up 3+ times a night and breastfeeding so I thought it would be useful. BUT it doesn't sit right next to the bed, there's a gap that I was worried she'd fall down and you need quite a lot of space to pull the side down and slide it under so tricky to chnage from 3 to 4 sided. We used it with 3 sides for about a week! It does look nice though and my daughter's a little titch so she'll fit into it at 2 I imagine and then she'll move to a single bed (wuth bed guard!).PS love the look of the bednest! Don't think OH would approve though!
