The post from Heber made me wonder what other school fairs are on this summer...? School fairs can be a good way to get to know a school and the surrounding area for prospective parents, and they're generally good value for money if you're looking for something family friendly.

Little Saff is at Gordonbrock in Ladywell. Our summer fair will be Saturday 25th June, 11am-2pm. There will be BBQ, games, arts and crafts, face painting, tombola, Pimms, cakes, bric-a-brac sale*, etc. Children of all ages are welcome.

Whether you're thinking of moving to SE4, or just looking for a fun afternoon, hope to see you there!

What other schools have fairs this summer in East Dulwich and surrounding areas??? xx

*If you're Brockley/Ladywell area with bric-a-brac to donate, please message me. :-)

The summer fair at Edmund Waller (in Telegraph Hill) is also on 25th June from 12-4 - so you could have a day out in Lewisham and see both fairs!

We have Punch and Judy, hook a duck, a coconut shy and BBQ as well as lots of other stalls and games.

I went last year as a prospective reception parent and had a great time and met lots of other new parents and kids, as well as those with children already at the school.

Stillness Summer Fair (Alice in Wonderland theme) is on 18th June from 12-4pm. Dalmain School Summer Fair is also on the 18th from 12-3pm (Carnival theme). Have a day out in Honor Oak Park on the 18th.

This Saturday (18 June) there is the Hilly Fields Fayre on Hilly Fields in Ladywell from 12-5pm - the 484 bus from East Dulwich brings you right to Hilly Fields. (http://www.brockleysociety.org.uk/hilly-fields-midsummer-fayre/)

And on 2nd July there is the Blythe Hill Festival from 12-5pm which is another great day out (fingers crossed it doesn't rain!).

Hi,

Summer's near and Mini Explorers Childcare Service have put together two different workshops running from July 22 every Friday for four weeks. Children have the chance to take part in fun and educational sessions, boost their social skills and keep fit in the process. For more information contact us via email ([email protected]). T:07983943866. Please check out the website: www.miniexplorerscs.co.uk

Thanks,

Mini Explorers.

Lyndhurst Primary's summer school fair is on Saturday 3rd July from 3-6pm. Everyone is welcome!

This summer we have a festival theme (wellies the order of the day should it rain!) and the line up includes live music, a silent disco, teepee "field", kidzfield with face painting, flower crowns and other crafts, an amazing raffle and a tantalising array of food and drink: bbq, rotisserie chicken, pimms, home brew cider, tea & cakes and more! See the poster for more information and we look forward to seeing you there.

Goose Green School Carnival is happening Saturday 2nd July 12noon-4pm, and we would like to welcome ALL Goose Green RECEPTION 2016 Starters to join us, (on Goose Green itself!) for an afternoon of music, games, stalls, food, drink & Olympic themed fun. Our lovely Reception Year Teachers will be on the GG Info & PTA stand from 1-2, to welcome you and your little ones, and it will be the perfect opportunity to meet with other new Joiners. We do hope you can join us, and look forward to welcoming you to the school!

It's Ivydale School Summer Fair this Saturday 25th June. Come and join us 12-3 for BBQ, Pimms bar, tea and cakes, bouncy castle, bubble machine, traditional fair games, hamper raffle, second hand toys and books, children's music performances, Nunhead Community Choir, air guitar competition, face painting and tattoos, fun craft activities and plenty more.

    • Hi, oglander , Congratulations on your soon-to-arrive little lion - how exciting! It's always lovely to hear someone taking the adoption route (shelters are having a major crisis at the moment!). I've been in business for 15 years & can say with certainty that most cat owners in Dulwich have catflaps so, not only are they easy to have installed, but you shouldn't find yourself short of helping hands on these local forums. A catflap is a brilliant way to keep your little lion safely in overnight as well as generally keeping track of their comings & goings. I'd be happy to walk you through the set up once you've chosen your model (SureFlap & PetSafe are two popular brands). I'm sure the rescue has already advised, but just in case they haven't, it'll be very important to keep your newly adopted cat housebound for the first 2 weeks to familiarise themselves with their new home. Once they've scent-mapped the house, you can gradually begin letting them out to explore & scent-map the garden. Exciting times! x
    • Hello all,  If your child goes to this gym club: since the new payment system, have you received clear information about the cost per session, the cost per term and when sessions will be omitted eg for school opened days? (I have asked the club, more than once, no full response so far) This term started in late August, before school had gone back (did many attend that session?). Next term there is no break for half term, so there are 12 sessions to be paid. Does that seem to be more sessions than there used to be?    I am sure they are doing their best, but the info from the new auto pay system isn’t detailed enough, and the auto pay just takes an unspecified amount. I wondered if it’s just me (wanting more detail), or if there are others too? (my child loves the gym itself!) thanks
    • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent service! We had one of Paul Edgley’ s team come to fit some new lights in our living room. They were able to come at reasonably short notice, arrived on time, were friendly and professional, and did a great job. Everything was left clean and tidy afterwards, and the lights look fantastic. Highly recommend! Paul’s contact details are 07802 627967
