Private pediatrician needed - recommendations, please

I need to find a private pediatrician ASAP as NHS waiting times too long for our situation. Can anyone recommend one? Doesn't have to be local, just has to be good!

I'm assuming OP is American. Pediatricians in the US are generalists like GPs but specialise in infants and children.

I always found it strange that the UK doesn't have gp style pediatricians. I loved my oediatrician growing up- she had photos of all her charges on her wall (me included) and treated my for 18 years. She was a real family doctor which was so reassuring both for me and my parents when I was sick.

France also has gp-style paediatricians and children go for regular routine visits. I wish the same existed here.

Many GP practices have Paediatric specialist GPs but where it becomes difficult is that they don't only see paediatric cases so appointments are managed as rest of appointments. The Health Service needs a bloody good shake up - bits of Australian, French and US system. I'm so sorry the OP is finding the current Health Service unresponsive to their need. I'm afraid I don't have any details of Private Paed Specialist but I would suggest having a look at a website like BUPA who have a directory of private providers. i hope you find what you're looking for.

There is a practice with German doctors including s paediatrician in Richmond. Their website http://aerztehauslondon.co.uk/Doctors-and-Staff.html only seems to be in German though. I haven't been because I am usually ok with our GP practice and not really keen on the journey but friends of mine have been and recommended them.
