As fed up as I am of the Lib Dems boast that the Conseratives can never win here, I have to ask have the Conseratives actually been listening to that boast and fielded a sacrifical lamb Kemi Adegoke?

She doesn't look old enough to have left school, let alone vote...

Come on Conseratives, give us a candidate with enough b@lls and experience to actually give the other parties a run for their money and the voters a fair choice..

PS My Money would be on The Monster Raving Looney Party if only they were still going !!

Yeh, let's all vote for candidates according to how old they look, that's a good idea. Not.

Let's vote for someone who looks the part (middle-aged man in a suit, perhaps) regardless of how incompetent they are.

Artful, you will be pleased to hear the Monster Raving Looney Party is alive and well. Now sponsored by William Hill they have a number of candidates around the country who all hope to lose their deposits otherwise they'll be kicked out of the party for not being looney enough.

Here's a selection of some of their ground-breaking policies:

Global Warming

To combat global warming and climate change all buildings should be fitted with air conditioning units on the outside.

Terrorism

Ban all terrorists from having beards as they look scary.

Separate Passports for Terrorists requiring them to give full contact details, number of explosives, and time (as well as location) of any plot. This would save time and money in gathering intelligence, and could also help identify the intended ambition(s) behind any atrocity(s).

Foreign Policy

Greater cooperation with the EU by inviting all members to join the ? sterling

Domestic policy

Poop Scoop - Anyone allowing their Hyena to poop on the pavement should shovel it away immediately, As this is no laughing matter

All socks to be sold in packs of 3 as a precaution against losing one.

Sell shares in Northen rock, buy shares in Blackpool rock!

Declare the Channel Tunnel a No Fly Zone.

Set up a government agency to paint contour lines on to hills and colour roads the same as on maps. This will help people know where they are.

Dedicated pogo stick lanes on routes to centres of work.

The Loch Ness Monster should be added to the endangered species list.

NHS Dentistry.

All newly trained Dentists will be require to have three teeth removed, 2 fillings and root canal work done without anesthetic. Then they will know the agony they inflict on the rest of us.

Chocolate be available as a prescription drug

Education - Bright Skoolkids

Bright pupils will be provided with dimmer switches to prevent them distracting the rest of the class.

Defense

All soldiers serving abroad would be issued with a long ranged laser guided water pistols

    • In 2016 London City Airport began using concentrated flight paths. When there's a predominantly westerly wind, incoming aircraft approach from East London (north of the River). When there's a predominantly Easterly wind, incoming aircraft approach the airport from the West: circling through Forest Hill, Dulwich, Vauxhall, Tower Hamlets, Docklands. This latter flight path affects many of us in South East London. https://www.london.gov.uk/who-we-are/what-london-assembly-does/questions-mayor/find-an-answer/london-city-airport-concentrated-flight-paths The planes going into City are often below 2,000 ft, so very noisy. Sometimes we have incoming Heathrow at the same time, flying higher. The early flights that I hear e.g. 04:30 are incoming to Heathrow. They are scheduled to land at 05:30 but are 'early'. Apparently the government allows a percentage of flights to arrive early and late (but these are now established as regular occurrences, informally part of the schedule). IMHO Londoners are getting very poor political representation on this issue. Incredible that if you want to complain about aircraft noise, you're supposed to contact the airport concerned! Preposterous and designed solely in favour of aviation expansion.
    • Yet another recommendation for Jafar. Such a nice guy, really reliable and fair. He fixed a problem with our boiler and then incredibly kindly made two more visits to replace a different part at no extra cost.
    • I didn't have any problems with plane noise until city airport started flying planes to and from about 5-8 minutes apart from 5.30 am or  6 am,  and even with ear plugs and double glazing I am woken at about 6 well before I usually would wake  up. I have lived here since 1986 and it is relatively recently that the planes have been flying far too low over East dulwich. I very much doubt that they are headinbg to Heathrow or from Heathrow. As the crow flies we are much , MUCH closer to City Airport than Heathrow or Gatwick. I even saw one flying so low you could see all the windows, when I was in Peckham Rye Park.
