How good is Sky broadband in ED?

Hi

I'm thinking about moving to Sky Broadband. I'm currently on Virgin Media and never had any major problems with them around Barry Road. Sky is offering good deals at the moment and I just wanted to gather feedback from people in Dulwich who are with Sky.

Any info from users would be great. Thanks

I had regular sky broadband until recently (non-fibre). It was great, reasonably fast and in 4 years I don't remember a problem. Only reason I switched was that the price ratcheted up each year and discounts for existing members were poor...time for a change!

It's probably best you ask some of your neighbours. They are the best people to get advice from as performance and reliability can be very localised as it depends on where exactly you live.

Having said that, I've had good reliability and performance with both Sky and BT. Although the customer service during initial setup was a pain but that is a given.

Try this to see speeds in your area. It's usually quite a good indicator.

I have just switched back to Sky as Broadband is free for 18 months. I have had no problems at all with it..

I live just off Barry road had sky for few years now don't have no problems at all good wifi all through my house

Live near the train station and I have never had a problem - efficient and fast.

I moved from Virgin to Sky Fibre broadband down Copleston Road last September - I think the Sky is much better.

Agree with Cedges. Virgin was good when it worked but lost connection far too often. Sky has worked without any fault for 6 months and download speed is okay.

Don't bother with Sky Fibre... I upgraded last November and haven't seen a noticeable increase in the line speed to warrant the additional cost. I live near Barry Road, Peckham Rye end.

In Friern road near the Rye end

Sky Broadband for 6 years got 10mbps only went down once in that time and very reliable

Upgraded in March to Fibre and now get 40mbps so far all is well and it was very easy to upgrade

Hi in Friern Rd london rd end, moved from talk talk who were dreadful. No problems with sky over last couple of years. Happy to stay were on basic broadband and phone deal.
