It turns out that our baby is allergic to cats and we have two. We've spoken at length to the gp and a few other professionals and it seems that our best option is to try and re-home them. They are mum and son so we'd like them to go together. Does anyone have any ideas on our best plan of action?

I wouldn't put them through the shelter process unless it's an emergency. Shelters are full tof the brim and are stressful environments.

Try all the local forums first? Since you're just rehoming (not selling), ED Forum admin will allow you to post in classifieds. You can also try local Facebook groups: SE4 Families, or Pets of Telegraph Hill. Speak to your vet as well. They may know someone who came foster them in a home, rather than a shelter.

Good luck. xx

    • Well thanks for enriching the conversation.  Would you chuck Fah - rage in too for his tax avoidance on his property?   I expect it was lead story on Jeremy Vine too.  Doesn't make it a story, just a bit more of BBC tabloid style sensationalism.  There are numerous real news stories in the UK and across the world.  And now, apt for Halloween, you have summoned up the ghost of Louisa. So for the third time, will you now eat humble pie?
