Contacted AFE to look at a bathroom leak off the back of these recommendations, and pleased to say I can agree with the sentiment of the previous comments. Friendly and helpful to deal with, and also able to follow up the next day with another visit to correct a small issue and seal an additional fixture.
Aria was a pleasure to deal with arranging to fix a leaking toilet quickly. We used WhatsApp to send a video of the leak which saved him time and ultimately me money when it came to fixing it. It was Dan who came on the day to do the work. He was very quick and efficient and again great to deal with. Would definitely recommend AFE Plumbing Services and will use them again.
Used AFE Plumbing to fix a leaking toilet and replace leaking kitchen taps. Came out next day and did the job quickly and well at a decent price. They then visited again for a minor issue. Aria and his brother are friendly - would recommend

Hello,

Created this account specially to recommend AFE Plumbing - we found them via this website and they fixed our leaking kitchen tap/pipework situation quickly and very professionally. The price was very reasonable too.

If we find ourselves needing a plumber there's no doubt we'll call them again. I'd recommend them without reservation.

We also found Aria and AFE Plumbing via this site. He and his coworkers completely renovated our two bathrooms so I can recommend them if you're looking for someone to help you with a much larger job as well. They were very professional and helpful. It was a long project and at a couple points there could have been more clear communication and instructions between all the parties involved, but on the whole they kept on top of things and were amenable to make changes when things didn't come out either as we'd hoped or specified. When there was an unexpected leak at one point, Aria was very quick to respond and helped to rectify the problem even though it was the weekend. The finished bathrooms both look really great and it was a pleasure working with this company because they are all very friendly, skilled and professional.

Aria did a great job fixing our tricky leaking toilet. Came out quickly, worked efficiently, friendly and professional. Even went out of his way to pop back the next day to add extra sealant to stop it wobbling. Thoroughly recommended.

Contacted A.F.E plumbing services after seeing recommendations on this forum. Aria friendly and helpful. Work ( to install a new shower) was completed quickly and Aria used resources already in stock to keep costs down. Work was finished to a high standard. Communication was excellent throughout - always important when plumbing work is involved. Recommended.
A.F.E plumbing services just installed a new bathroom suite and toilet for us. As well as plumbing work included structural work to floor and walls, tiling of floors and walls, electrical work and painting and decorating. All work was done to a high standard by a friendly, hardworking team of people who turned up every day and completed everything on schedule. Unexpected problems were sorted out without fuss or delay and any additional costs incurred were immediately discussed in detail and reasonable and creative solutions found. The project was very efficiently co-ordinated by Aria who kept in daily contact with us. Thoroughly recommended.

Highly recommended! A neighbour recommended AFE when she phoned to tell me a leak from my bathroom into her property! Aria was quick to respond and his brother Dan came around that day. Dan immediately diagnosed and dealt with the problem very efficiently. He was very pleasant to deal with and he put my mind at rest . I have no hesitation in recommending! Thank you !
Contact Aria (AFE) after seeing recommendations on this forum. They helped to fix a leaking shower unit. They were very friendly and helpful. They detected the leak and stopped it. Then they installed the new shower and replaced tiling. After a couple of weeks the tap was dripping due to a problem with a faulty washer from manufacturer. They came round the same week to stop the drip and replace washer. Work was finished to a high standard. Communication was excellent throughout and I would definitely recommend.

another positive recommendation - recently they helped with some insurance work - identified the source of the problem (leak from upstairs bathroom through to downstairs ceiling) - prompt repair and excellent plastering job to ceiling.

Also Aria is very good at getting back to you promptly when contact made. For plumbing problems my first port of call!n my speed dial list.

    • Back on topic (!),  just a reminder that the new incarnation of the ED Forum drinks will be in The Palmerston TOMORROW Wednesday 11 June from 7pm. Turn immediately left as you come in by the main  Lordship Lane entrance, and we will be in the area there. Hope that at least a few of you will be up for getting to know some of your fellow forum members in real life!
    • For the past 15 years, I’ve been subjected to persistent passive-aggressive bullying and harassment by my upstairs neighbours. Their behaviour has included tampering with my plants, opening bin bags and questioning me about their contents, and interfering with misdelivered post — some of which appeared to have been opened. There has also been consistent noise disruption, like loud door banging and deliberately dropping heavy objects. They often laugh or stare at me when I’m in the garden, creating a constant sense of intimidation. Much of their conduct is subtle and hard to prove, often falling into a grey area that could easily be dismissed as paranoia, which makes it even more distressing. In the early years, I sometimes responded, but I realised this only seemed to encourage them. Since then, I’ve tried to remain calm and avoid confrontation — but unfortunately, this seems to have escalated things. After the recent death of a close family member, they left a condolence note, which at first seemed kind — but it came with a request to cut back my laurel bush, which I maintain for privacy, as I often feel watched in my own garden. The timing and nature of the request felt inappropriate. Still, I arranged for a gardening service and slightly reduced the laurel, though likely not as much as they wanted. Shortly after, one neighbour commented on how lovely one of my potted plants looked — which struck me as unusual, since we’ve barely spoken in years. Just days later, they told me the same plant looked like it was dying and asked if they should water it. Soon after, it rapidly turned yellow, brittle, and died — in a way that looked clearly unnatural. From photos, it appears the plant was poisoned, likely with a chemical weed killer. Access to that area is restricted — it’s behind a locked front gate monitored by a Smart CCTV camera. No one else had access, and it would be very difficult for someone to climb over the wall unnoticed. Given the timing and condition of the plant, I strongly suspect it was deliberately poisoned. I brought this up in a chat with my next-door neighbours, and they revealed they’d lost three trees along the same fence line over the past few months. One of them had previously been asked for access to cut back those very trees. One of the affected trees was a mature silver birch, whose sudden death should leave chemical evidence if tested. I’ve reported the incident to the Environment Agency and requested soil testing to check for toxins. The police have also been notified. I’ve installed another CCTV camera for additional monitoring. I’m not looking for confrontation — I just want to live peacefully and without further interference. But their behaviour continues to feel calculated and harassing. Has anyone experienced anything similar? What steps would you recommend next? I feel at a loss as to how to protect my space and sanity.
