Aria helped us out this week. He replaced ballcocks in our loft tanks. These had caused a leak whilst we were away on holiday. He also installed a new radiator. Responsive to our requirements. Communication was really good, costs reasonable.  Nice guy. Very happy to recommend.

Aria came to do a handful of jobs at very short notice for me (removing two radiators, installing a new one, installing a dishwasher and installing a washing machine). Aria did a visit on the day I reached out to him to understand exactly what I was asking for. He followed up with a detailed plan of what needed to be done and a quote for the work. He then completed all tasks in a day (coming back to check all was well a few days later). I would absolutely recommend Aria and will definitely work with him again.

Aria came to help us out with a leaking water valve before Christmas. He was extremely helpful, and sorted out the problem very quickly. His charge was very reasonable, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again. Highly recommended. Thanks, Aria!

Aria was fantastic when renovating our bathroom just before Christmas. Incredibly helpful and flexible with his time when the suppliers repeatedly sent us damaged goods. He was responsive, kind, tidy and his fees very reasonable. I'll definitely use him in future.

I've noticed that Aria has lots of recommendations from forumites who have only ever have made a single post and that first and only post is about A.F.E. and Aria!   Strange, no?

You can always check when they registered on the forum, if you are suspicious.

But I recommended Aria, and it certainly wasn't my only post on here, and it was a genuine recommendation.

ETA: And he didn't ask me to make it, to the best of my recollection. But even if he had, many local tradespeople ask people to post on here if they are happy with the work that has been done.

Another recommendation for Aria - he came over on short notice before Christmas (so a bit of a delayed review) to help fix a pipe when some DIY went wrong. He was very helpful, quick to respond and sorted the problem efficiently. We’ll definitely use him again if needed!

Aria - what a journey!

He visited me and my partner on a low after a set of traders had scammed us via MyBuilder. We had no bath or shower and a broken bathroom in disarray. His calm and positive attitude set us straight and gave us hope as we started to build a bathroom from scratch with him.

His expertise, knowledge and help was always there. Communication was excellent as he project managed the job bringing talented members of his team through for each part of the process (shout out to Dave, Leon, Barry and Mush). We are first-time owners and had never built a room before but he gave us confidence and reassurance whilst allowing us creative freedom to create our dream bathroom. There is so much choice out there for appliances, we'd have crammed safari tabs pages open on our sofa at night and send him countless bathroom fittings and he'd be able to help us make decisions on the right things within our budget.

Building a bathroom in an old Victorian house you soon realise you encounter difficulties. Along the way we discovered exterior and interior pipes that were leaking causing the initial damp in the bathroom we knew we needed investigating. Aria fixed these for us and was patient in the fact the timeline became elongated and stuck with us all the way.

The final job has come out so well. The bathroom is no longer the room we would dread to show people but rather the new jewel of the flat! Aria is a local trader looking after his community and I couldn't recommend him more highly.

From myself, my partner and our 3-legged cat Ziggy (who got lots of treats from Aria) thank you for your work.

Aria provided a brilliant service repair a leak in my bathroom. The repairs were efficient and well done. I have to give a big shout out to Aria who was communicative and gave advice throughout the whole process. If you want reliable and trustworthy tradesmen, he is your man!

Aria came to my rescue! I had to turn my water off due to a leak and had called a number of plumbers who couldn’t help. But then spoke to Aria who came round within the hour and got my leak fixed and water back on! Very communicative and kept me updated on what and how he was completing the job. Definitely would recommend and use again. Thank you!

    • Excellent, I hope so!
    • It's certainly a risky strategy, as well as ticking everyone off, the gazunderer risks losing the property and also their costs incurred during the process e.g. legal & survey. It's hard to mitigate against but I always think that if you're desperate to sell, don't ever convey that  to your estate agent, as that info more than likely gets passed on to potential buyers. You should be doing that regardless of whether gazundering is happening or not, as it will affect the offers you receive... That's correct. Some agents have policies in place to 'discourage' gazundering and gazumping, but ultimately it comes down to the morals of the buyer...
    • The owner may not be on this forum. Maybe you should let the police know you have it, in case the owner has reported it as stolen? Also, are you sure the owner hadn't just left it there temporarily while going into their house, or putting their bike away or getting it out? What street was it in?
    • For these places to be good they have to be mega efficient: high volume high speed like the one in Camberwell next to Stormbird.  If you can't hit that sort of tipping point you end up having to cut corners and you enter a sort of death spiral.  The one at the south end of Lordship Lane near Joseph's is fairly hopeless.
