I reckon they would have all voted Remain, eh Foxy?

(PS and yes, I do remember Guthrie and Pete Seeger, though mainly because my oldest sister loved them.)

The Good Friday Agreement was mainly achieved by a very ethical & brave move by John Major in association with the late Albert Reynolds - Bliar & Bertie Ahern did good work following through & they tried to take all the credit. It was Albert Reynolds that was the main catalyst & he convinced Bill Clinton to get involved.

    • Thanks everyone for responding. I'm continuing my research, as I still can't shake away the folklore tales and still believe that there maybe an element of truth in the existence of a Roman Fort on the site of the  currrent Dawson's Heights. If anyone has any further knowledge please come forward and share.  Thanks MrEd for your last link in your post. It was fascinating to see how close the Roman road (and hence Roman activity) was to our area.
    • It really is  affecting the nervous system I agree hate it !
    • I really like Romeo Jones, Sad its going. I refuse to frequent Gails & Megans I cant bear the homogenisation of London. Its become such a bland city now.
    • It's permitted because the council grants an events licence. But if you were to blast music from your back garden for 10 hours a day accross four days, they'd shut you down on day one. There will be a noise plan in place, but it is probably the same as the one for the GALA festival, which dismisses any breach of the agreed noise levels as long as they are brought back within limits witihn 15 minutes. In other words, a breach is never really a breach according to the council. This is why local residents feel exasperated.
