I hope you have reported to Police. I understand from the Safer Neighbourhood Meeting on Tuesday night that Burglaries etc were up. The police do monotor the pattern of crimes in terms of location, times, and what was taken - in relation to car crimes they may well have a good idea who the suspects are likely to be.

Sgt. Duncan Jackson of ED Police is very approachable - as is PC Adrian Crust -

I live on Lordship Lane & within the past 18 months both of our cars have had the rear passenger windows smashed. The first being just a hammer style hit & the 2nd a rifle gun hole with the glass still in tact & the car was still locked. On both instances nothing was stolen. It seemed utterly pointless & made me wonder if it was youths doing it for a laugh or someone really has got it in for me! Ive stopped parking my car on Lordship Lane because of it. :'(
i was a bit shocked walking down Grove Park (SE5) this afternoon - one car with its windows and lights smashed (a lock was on the steering wheel so it seems just for a bit of sport). Then the next car down was missing at least two of its tyres. !!
My car got broken into on the corner of nutbrook street and waghorn street. It looked like a proffessional job, something had been inserted into the car and the lock forced up, i thought id leaft it unlocked. They took my radio cassette as i had left the front off piece in the dashboard, all my cd's and all of my car cleaning stuff in the boot...a great big bag of it. I also had a ?5 voucher for morrisons which had taken me ages to get from petrol, that was in the dashboard and they took it aswell :(

Our crappy Ford has been broken into twice in four weeks in Grove Park. No sign of entry but the glove box and other compartments open, stuff all over the place. And same has happened to neighbours - again no sign of break in.

    • I’d also recommend Paul for electrical work. He came round the other week to help us out with a handful of jobs (installing an SPD, new light fittings, installing a dimmer switch, a bathroom fan). His quote was cheaper than what I got from others, he turned up on time and he got the job done quickly.
    • We’d like to add our recommendation for Lukasz and team at L&L Building & Maintenance.  Lukasz has recently installed a roof terrace for us, and we’ve found him a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We contacted about a dozen recommended builders and found his quote very competitive. During the build his team delivered quality work, they were no hassle in the house at all and they kept the place tidy every day. The terrace looks great, and we’re very happy customers. What stood out in particular was Lukasz’s responsiveness, right from discussing quotes to follow-up during the build. Lukasz often checked in and was always available when we needed him.  We’ll definitely contact Lukasz again for future building work and we’d happily recommend him to others looking for a reliable builder.   Lukasz Kugaczewski L&L Building & Maintenance 07926651960 [email protected] www.landl-build.com
    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
