(My car has been) broken into

Recommended Posts

I hope you have reported to Police. I understand from the Safer Neighbourhood Meeting on Tuesday night that Burglaries etc were up. The police do monotor the pattern of crimes in terms of location, times, and what was taken - in relation to car crimes they may well have a good idea who the suspects are likely to be.

Sgt. Duncan Jackson of ED Police is very approachable - as is PC Adrian Crust -

I live on Lordship Lane & within the past 18 months both of our cars have had the rear passenger windows smashed. The first being just a hammer style hit & the 2nd a rifle gun hole with the glass still in tact & the car was still locked. On both instances nothing was stolen. It seemed utterly pointless & made me wonder if it was youths doing it for a laugh or someone really has got it in for me! Ive stopped parking my car on Lordship Lane because of it. :'(

My car got broken into on the corner of nutbrook street and waghorn street. It looked like a proffessional job, something had been inserted into the car and the lock forced up, i thought id leaft it unlocked. They took my radio cassette as i had left the front off piece in the dashboard, all my cd's and all of my car cleaning stuff in the boot...a great big bag of it. I also had a ?5 voucher for morrisons which had taken me ages to get from petrol, that was in the dashboard and they took it aswell :(

    • The National Autistic Society UK don't appear to have a Southwark branch, but they offer help if you wish to start your own local one: Join one of our online branches and get to know fellow autistic people with a shared interest, identity or experience. Can't find a branch that's right for you? Why not start up your own? Please email [email protected] for more information. All of our branches' events and activities are individually risk assessed.  Please note that compliance with the rules associated with each of these is every attendee's responsibility.
    • We ate at Viet Flavours last night - the quality is excellent - home made noodles, generous portions, really fresh, high quality chicken - totally delicious.  We had the tasting menu which was actually very good value for money - lots to eat and we left stuffed. Run by the lovely Anne and her family, we will certainly be back to support this great new option to the high street.
    • Thanks Peckham Rose for reminding us that Southwark Events Team are just as responsible as Gala for the damage to the park.   I was not aware that Cllr Hamvas was Chair of Licensing. Isn't the Rye in her constituency? Surely, despite her role, she could object to the state the park has been left in. In fact, how can any of our local councillors ignore it?
