Aircon/heating split cycle unit installers

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Trying to find an air conditioning/heating split cycle unit installer. I am seeking to install two split cycle units in my flat. Wall mounted with outside compressors. I have received a quote from a larger company and I think they are taking the mick. I am very familiar with these units, their costs, and the install time. The larger company said they have overheads - I am not paying for their overheads. Does anyone know a smaller reliable company who can give me a quote at a convenient time and actually get the work done for a reasonable fee. Please let me know if anyone knows anyone in this line of work.

Thanks,

Jenn

I went through the process of getting quotes just over a year ago - I never actually got installation because I wouldn't have gotten permission from my managing agent for the outside unit.

I went to 4 different companies, but only got consistent replies (and eventually quotes) from 3 of them (the first 3 links below). ACS came to my flat to make an assessment for the quote and were very helpful - I would have ended up going for them. Not sure how their prices will compare to your existing quote.

    • @Sue - try this one to see the proposed bus stops. Everything after the question mark in the original is tracking code and sometimes they fall over. Also Amazon Web Hosting (which seems to host the document for TfL) has been wobbly today. https://ehq-production-europe.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/ce32459998ce01d44ce27d1f23c543bd84338c82/original/1759936980/3bc1b1bf3ec42ce77542fa4ddd82c87a_sl15-bus-stop-list.pdf   It's an express service so the only Dulwich relevant stops seem to be: *  Tulse Hill Hotel for Tulse Hill * West Dulwich * Wood Vale/Lordship Lane * Forest Hill
    • It will be useful from time to time particularly getting to west Dulwich.  Be interesting how quick to Clapham Junction, Vs train or bus and train.

    • https://airqualitynews.com/health/pm2-5-hitches-a-lift-on-red-blood-cells-to-spread-through-the-body/ looks like a good readable brief summary.  There are others available. His team have produced an impressive  number of papers over the last few years.   The mention of personal differences in clearing of absorbed particles sounds particularly interesting and I look forward to seeing more research on that topic.
