It's a bit hard to ask someone to pick their litter up when no one is about. I don't doubt that the people depositing their litter by the bins thought they were doing the correct thing but they weren't. The stuff was in neatly tied plastic bags. No doubt they thought someone from the council would be along in a minute to take care of the stuff. Probably there should have been. At weekends in the summer, councils should send out a waste colletion team to pick up the rubbish left behind. Have you ever seen Primrose Hill at the end of a sunny weekend day in the summer. Looks like a festival day. Unbelievable!!

Another thing is why oh why are people still allowed to continue to eat their smelly food on public transport? Isn't it time this was banned? Just the smell of rancid half eaten old chicken bones and chips and whatnot that is left on the floor makes me want to hurl.

Whilst I totally agree with you, and think that chicken bones are the worst litter there is, I feel the need to point out that I have sat on a bus with you at 3 in the morning, both scoffing a dirty donner after a few too many pints! :)-D

I'm changed man after that experience. I've seen the light now Keef. Honest. ;-)

    • Thank you for your explanation, which makes complete sense. Sadly I'm guessing that most of those who post on here, including me, are not familiar with the  holiday arrangements of the construction industry. Very sorry to have ventured an uninformed opinion 😀
    • I live right next to the Rye and literally never notice any negatives of Gala. Another week sounds lovely for the people that enjoy it.  Also I have a PhD in ecology and can confirm that the rye is providing virtually no environmental benefits. It's almost entirely grass.
    • Regardless of what the majority think, (although they never get a voice in any council matters) the council will go ahead with this regardless. Wonga!
    • How come you are always there when these things happen?! 🤣 More seriously, someone posted on here the other day that they are practices. Who knows?
