we have amazing views from our house (first floor)...can see the shard, big ben, wembley arch, st pauls, london eye. At night the lights are stunning. We don't have to walk up a hill everyday (lordship lane end of dunstans road and upland road)..

also good views on ferndene road se24 too (have driven past and stopped). I think Mundania, Marmora road SE22 also have great views.

That's true.

If the view can be from the loft, anything south of Whately road on the uphill slope will get you that. It's also true of Mundania road etc.

    • In deed.   An hour is optimistic. I'd always use the train/tube, so many options from the slowish Picadilly, quick Heathrow Express and Lizzy line in the middle. In the old days I'd go out to Feltham via Clapham Junction and either get a cab from there or the bus to avoid central London Alternatively 3 hours by bus only Or a couple of hours by bike, I have cycled there a few times including illegally going through the tunnel as it is so bike unfriendly.
