Perhaps the gig was cancelled because of the Wombles ehtical stance on litter.

Imagine if loads of young uns had turned up, there would have been scads of junk food paper litter left behind, and then they would also have to turn their attention to the 'bottles and cans that the folks leave behind'.

Seriously, Mike Batt and Chris Spedding would not be doing with that sort of thing.

And Bernard Cribbins would have thrown a shit fit about the whole business. Possibly.
