Picture framers - recommendations and advice wanted

I need to get a large mixed media/watercolour painting professionally framed framed before 20th August and would like to go to a framer who can help advise on the best type of frame for it - any artists or art collectors out there who can recommend the best local framers? thanks.

This is the painting - http://www.nationalopenart.org/gallery2.php?as=1&Aurelia-s-Dress-17624

GX on Denmark Hill, junction with the one way road at Traffic Lights opposite Coldharbour Lane. Used them twice and they did a great job and were really helpful. Not quite local but compared to say, Hendon or Hanwell or Havering, local.
I've also used the one on Northcross Rd and the one on Grove Vale and found Hawkins to be much better than either - better VFM and much more attuned to getting the best out of the work by helping advise on frame and mount (quite a skill).
We didn't have a good experience with John Hawkins Picture Framers. 2 prints dropped in to be framed over a year ago. One we have back the other has gone AWOL. Been in half a dozen times to collect but always told its in the workshop etc etc. Have used them numerous times in the past but wouldn't return as still haven't got my historical map of Nunhead back.
If you don't mind a short drive, I'd recommend David Mitchell framing on the way to Lewisham (Loampit Hill SE13). I have used them a couple of times following a recommendation on here, and found them good value, good quality & good service.

After checking out all the recommendations from my post back in the summer, I had the 2nd painting framed by David Mitchell framing 28 Loampit Hill SE13 7SW Phone: 020 8469 0078

Hours: (closed wednesdays and sundays?- all other days open 9am?5pm and they are a lot cheaper and quicker (1 week turnaround) than all the local framers so definitely worth a look if anyone else needs something framed.

    • I can't answer your question. But on them generally: it's changed hands in the last year or so, I think. I paid £35 for interior and exterior and they did a crap job. I'll go to the one on Herne Hill (or just do it myself if health allows) next time.
    • Aria came round to fix my tub drain when I'd messed up the seal. Came within hours, fixed the tub, and ran a bath to make sure it was okay. Here's where the fun starts. While he was over, I asked him questions about the rest of the plumbing round the house. I had just moved into a Victorian home that was previously being rented. Unsurprisingly, we found another leak in the tub and a drip in the kitchen tap.  He came back the next day to put a better pipe in my bathtub and replace the kitchen sink. Painstakingly figured out how to replace the hard-to-access kitchen sink without cutting through the wood panel with the help of his builder friend, Mark. Answered all my questions and clearly knew his stuff. All this right before Christmas holidays!
    • Was that the one where you put a coin in and it squirted water at you? what was the name of the one in hanway street - whatever you ordered it came on a segmented tray like you get in prison (I imagine). Prices were a steal.
