What happened to the forum drinks?

Forgive me if this is a sore point, or alternatively if I've missed a load of threads, but are there no forum drinks any more?

The official EDF drinks have been suspended until September. Due to apathy, apparently - I don't really know, I haven't been to any recently.

Last summer the drinks during the summer wern't a great success apparently.

It started to feel like "care in the community" which was nice for those that don't get out much

The vibe changed because people stopped turning up.

It was decided that something once a quarter would be more attractive with an impromptue one on a summer weekend.

I know some people didn't like doing it, but I preferred it when we wore sticky name labels - I have a terrible memory for names and faces and therefore can often appear rude when I don't recognise people :-$

Also easier perhaps for people going for the first time.

Katie, next time wear something else as well as the T-shirt, it's the sort of thing that excites comment from the patrons of Kebab And Wine. And everywhere else for that matter.
