RIP Frank Sidebottom

That is so sad! In about 1990 I went to an XTC convention in Manchester and the organiser knew him and got him to do a gig for us. He played some XTC and his rendition of We're Only Making Plans for Little Nigel was one of the funniest things I have ever heard.

Me neither - but I followed the link on youtube and he looked a bit odd.

The suit was quite ill-fitting, I agree.

    • Friend recommends Penge Cycle Club.  Southwark Cyclists usually do two social cycle rides on Saturday, you don't need to be a member (London Cycling Campaign) but recommended.  They are advertised on the What's On section of EDF. And you can go on their other Borough group rides, Lewisham Cyclists often do long rides. Generally very cycle friendly around here, despite occasional on line hostility.

    • This Italian restaurant at the Southbound Goose Green bus stop on Lordship Lane is excellent but doesn't seem to get much custom, especially at lunchtimes - a sad indictment of East Dulwich society.  If it were in Camberwell/Peckham (where I used to live) it would be rammed. If we don't want Lordship Lane full of chains, then good quality independent family places need custom.
