brockwell lido - where to park

Hi - I wonder if anyone has some tips for where to park at the brockwell lido. I know I am being pathetic, but as someone who only to drive a couple of years ago, I hate driving to new places, and then break out into cold sweats if it is somewhere slightly busier, such as around Herne Hill station! I understand the parking on site is very limited...

You can park on the road outside but make sure you buy a parking ticket as there are a lot of traffic wardens around there.

Park at the Brockwell end of Rosendale Road and cut through the park. It's free and you'll find much more space, especially if you go early

Hello - sorry to jump in your post but has anyone been to the Lido this week? Is it totally overrun and unpleasant or is it pretty nice? Thinking of going with babies and mums.....

It is lovely but water very cold, our 20 month old didn't like it at all even with her baby wet suit/body warmer on. They used to set a paddling pool up for the littlies but don't seem to do it any more :-(

We cycled there last time - got rid of the whole parking nightmare and quite a nice easy ride from ED.

Was thinking of going to Ruskin Park paddling pool in the morning - anyone interested?

There is a separate paddling pool in a different part of the park for little uns -its brilliant-I went Wed mornning/lunchtime and was not too busy.Went with 1 year old and 2 1/2 year olds and they loved it-lots of shade too

If you don't want to drive, the number 37 bus will drop you right outside the lido on Dulwich Road - you can catch it from opposite Goose Green or various stops along East Dulwich Grove - 10min journey if you go after the school runs are finished.
