Hi!

Just seen your post about your au pair local for local friends. Not exactly a response I'm afraid, but we live in Brockley and are considering hiring an au pair Anto provide childcare to two toddlers 3 days a week, and I was wondering if you would be happy to share details of how you found your au pair (e.g. Through an agency or website), what childcare she provides, how long she has/will be with you for, how much you pay her and whether you would recommend having an au pair? Sorry to bother you - but any answers would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,

My name is Jane Jones, I'm 18 years old and keen to keep up my Spanish through conversation exchange with people in the local area. I have sent you an email with further details but I'd love to meet your au pair in a cafe or something!

Best wishes,

Jane.

We found ours through aupairworld.com. Can't recommend it high enough so far. We were warned of agencies by many so stayed clear of them, but others might have better experience. Happy to give you more details and a run down if you'd like to chat. We're based in Nunhead. PM to chat.

Thanks

Simone

    • Anyone can deliver for Evri - my daughter having just passed her driving test tried Evri to make some money - they basically give you a route and as many parcels as they think you can cope with - you make money for each one you deliver, so you can imagine - speed is the priority. Why would they wait for you to answer the door when they can just throw it and take a photo? If you have a choice, choose a different courier service or shop elsewhere where they do.
    • Boil - it’s the customer’s fault, not the delivery person’s.
    • A bit of a long shot but I'm on the lookout for a portable pop-up counter or podium.   The kind you often see on a high street, used by charities or utility companies to advertise their wares.   I've included a photo to give you the idea. I'm a peckham-based artist and am looking for one for a free (and non-profit) community art project.  It can be in any workable condition and can already have signage on it as we will remove and redecorate ourselves.    Thanks in advance, Linzie
    • No I absolutely did not - that much is clear. Have you read the latest stories about Unite, Len and the hotel in Birmingham? The UK electorate were smart enough to reject a far-left party in 2019, let's hope they are smart enough to reject a far-right party at the next election too. If not we are all doomed.
