Is anyone else being kept awake by the loud music coming from a house on Avondale Road? It's been going on since the afternoon adn they've been on lurve songs for the last three hours. I'm reluctant to complain because I think it's a wedding but it's 12:30!! Aarrgghhh, that's a long slow dance by anyone's standards. Especially on a hot night when you can't shut the windows.

KatsuQueen, there's nothing worse* than being kept awake by other people's music. I figure that if they are inconsiderate enough to play it so loudly and at unreasonable times then having a polite word with them is (sadly) unlikely to work.

Hopefully if this was a wedding celebration, it will be a one-off?

*well there is but you know what I mean...hopefully.

Love Songs on Avondale Rise

You're a dick, this has got nothing to do with you

This is my bus, I'm going Sainsburys. Leave me alone.

You know what your problem is. You're a loser.

    • I haven't had a rude EVRI delivery but last week I had an unexpected delivery at 10.42 pm. He didn't ring the bell or knock on the door (or rattle the letter flap) but just took a photo and put the box down.  If it hadnt been for the door camera giving us a beep we would never have known there was a parcel ready to sit there all night.
    • Sorry if I’m being slow but there’s no point in having a gate then is there?  Would have thought it was basic manners to respect someone’s property

    • I have a rescue Spanish greyhound (galgo) from the charity mentioned above. You can contact Greyhounds in Need or one of the more local Kent greyhound rescue charities. They are fantastic family dogs. They do love walkies 2 or 3 times a day but they actually don't need to be walked too far and then they will happily loaf around on the sofa being very chill. They are brilliant with kids but not recommended if you own a cat as they have a strong prey drive. They also should be kept on the lead in local parks. They prefer to be around other sight-hounds (well my one does) and there are loads of local sighthound owners in Peckham, Crystal Palace etc and a very lively WhatsApp group that is brilliant if you need dog sitting as you can usually find someone to do that for free in return for you looking after the dog at a later date etc.
