Not sure where the breastfeeding comes in but it looks like a girl taking two overweight animals for a walk. Quite cheery though.

I live in the North and it's become the norm for the councils to adorn the sides of buildings with murals - they coat them in anti graffiti coatings but then again we don't have a lot of graffiti up here...thought you'd like to see the Highland versions...

Interested to know what you think...all are local themes.

Sorry to resurrect this but I was hoping 'it' would go away. The 'muriel' itself has been tagged- it is horrid-the whole thing. I live close to it and I am embarassed by it.Probably the thought that people visiting the area may think that the locals like it- I know some do but more don't it seems.

whether you like it or not is beside the point I'm afraid - the house-owner patently does and that's the end of that

I don't see how people can get particularly worked up by a mural

personally I hate the one opposite Goose Green playground and that's famous

    • Sorry for dragging this back on topic, but earlier I had a discussion with Luca the site manager who was also singing the praises of the 'new' waste management team. He invited me on to the ground to the east of the 'parkrun start' path to check out how well they'd done. Within 20 paces I'd picked up (and given to him) 2 cellophane filter tip wrappers, 3 fag butts, assorted scraps of plastic wrappers....! He awkwardly then said they were still onsite, and sent 1 guy out to litter pick. He also made the statement that it's "an impossible task". I will be over there tomorrow to find, collect and document all the remaining litter, to assist with next year's consultation. I think it's important to pass on that type of information?
    • Hi My friend who’s a local tree surgeon unfortunately had his small Stihl petrol chainsaw stolen last week. As a tree surgeon, this is pretty gutting.    I wondered whether anyone on here might have a spare secondhand one that they don’t use anymore. Or perhaps one that’s been left in a shed or garage gathering dust that isn’t needed. Joe would be delighted and very grateful if we could magic him a replacement soon! 🤩 Thanks so much!  Claire (07946) 728879
    • Thanks to Coe and Lard  for playing this, hadn't heard it for so so long,  This is a poor recording, but predates the punk explosion  of the late 70s, so ahead of the game....
    • I don't eat meat but if I had an air rifle the various vermin would be very afraid.  I've trapped squirrels in the loft, I wont go any further on that one. The Horniman Nature Reserve rats will take on any of yours, apart from.... Cox's walk which takes on another level.  During Covid it felt like you were in Hamelin.
