Very annoyed he did that when it counted against us (I won't mention that it immediately followed a very unsporting moment, hang your heads....doh! Done it again) then couldn't be arsed to do anything remotely like it in the world cup when we needed someone to inspire the team.

This just reaffirms my belief that the man is a knob!!! Every away manager in the league has to put up with this, but a rough tough scot from the slums can't take it. What an arse!!!!!

Excellent result for the Pool but it does help when the other team bother to turn up as Besiktas clearly hadn't. Excellent play all round and great goals too, quality entertainment for the fans. But as Atila and Keef have mentioned it's what you put in the trophy cabinet at the end of the season that counts.

They've still got a long way to go yet before Liverpool can qualify for the next round and they will probably have to win both of their remaining matches.

I'm expecting a similar result tonight for Man Utd, probably won't be 8-0 but they should put four or five past a poor Kiev team which should include Spurs' ?11 million flop Sergei Rebrov.

Arsenal should cruise through without any bother tonight and I expect Arsene Wenger to give a few of the youngsters a run out to gain some European experience.

Chelsea are still going strong despite a poor start and although they've been slagged off for not playing with enough flair last night I think that is still a good result for them and let's face it they are top of their group and look set to qualify for the next round. Great result for Celtic too. Looking good for us Brits in Europe isn't it.

Exactly right, and when it comes to Europe, I generally want everyone to do well, unless of course they're drawn against Liverpool! Heh heh heh heh heh >:D<

I'll forgive you for the price of a glass of pinot grigio on Friday night!

I, for one, was not surpised by this. Fat Frank is challenged in the grey matter department, so what else would you expect from such a moronic mercenary.

    • I can't access the article - what's the gist?  I took the markets getting jittery when she was crying at PMQs to be a sign that they trusted her. But maybe it was because they were simply worried about any form of instability.  The NIC hikes have stymied the economy, which we could all see a mile off. Will a wealth tax improve things? Does anyone here think the trickle down has any impact and that chasing out the super rich will help things? Or are we just seeing off the biggest contributors to the economy? And has the Kwasi approach ever worked anywhere else?  Economics is not my strong point at all, I'd love to know others' opinions, but it seems to be she has few options, especially as the party is so divided.
    • does either of them have a surgery? probably not over summer, but I thought they had to give the opportunity for their constituents to meet them.
    • MaryT, I’ve contacted the Dulwich Hill councillors several times in recent years, always copying them both in. I have never had an acknowledgment from Jon Hartley (not even an automated response or out-of-office) nor had any response or engagement from him regarding the issue raised.   On each occasion, only Maggie Browning responded (she uses an out-of-office if she is away). The last time, I received no response from either for 3 months, until Maggie Browning emailed me to apologise for not responding and asking if the problem had been resolved.
    • The  Kwasi effect is being considered.
