Le Boss was right about one thing, we have committed the least number of fouls and are third on the list of most fouled teams ( Man Ure being top followed by Everton then us) according to one of the tabloids during the past 3 seasons. The thing is, while I don't condone such comments by Le Boss, I don't seem to recall similar reactions from the press/media when Fergusmoan has made similar remarks/comments/tirades against refs et al. But hey ho, we shouldn't sink to the purple nosed ones level, we should be better than that.

Yeah, I remember that doing the rounds post lasagnegate. I've heard many excuses for a team playing badly but that has to be the most pathetic I've ever heard.

Five changes from the team including no Woodgate and King who is possibly still recovering after getting hurled out of Faces for being too drunk and I think the rest of them had an eye on the PSV Eindhoven game in the UEFA Cup next week. No really, we were shit. End of story.

Hasn't Wenger's teams at Arsenal got more sendings off than anyone else since took over Atila? It's a poor record isn't it. I think he is just as bad a Ferguson. He's certainly myopic. Never sees anything apart from when his players are "wronged." I can't believe he's going to let your captain get away with his petulent behaviour from last week against Birmingham. Hardly showed leadership qualities did he.

We've totally taken our foot off the pedal. We struggled first half of the season with injuries but managed to ensure safety nevertheless with some great performances. But now we've lost our way [and don't know where to go].

Unless Curbs does something to reinvigorate the team, it's a good time to play us as we've been out of sorts for most of the year; beating the pool apart.

I'm not going to make predictions about this, don't want to curse anyone. Think Arsenal have a hell of a job, but nothing to fear as such. They can score goals, and didn't conceed an away goal, so not really a bad position to be in.

The Pool have another week to wait, which I don't like. It is a tough one to call, all I will say is that we are capable of getting goals, and if we get 1, I can't see Inter getting the 4 they'd need... So basically I'll go as far as to say if Liverpool score, they'll go through. If they can't score, they'd best make damned sure they can defend!!!!!

RE: West Ham, I work with a couple of big Charlton fans, and they always felt Curbs had maybe been instructed by the club not to push for Europe, because they didn't have the squad to cope with it... No idea if there's any truth in that, but sure hammers fans don't want that kind of mentality!

Shock - Arsenal fail to win at Brum - Horror - Arsenal lucky to draw at home to Villa - Arsenals season falling apart - headlines from the media in the last few weeks. Don't you just love 'em? I wonder how they will view the side with fewest Englishmen in its' squad, that has accumulated the most reds cards since Wenger took over, yadda yadda yadda blah blah blather, and its win (the first by an English team in Europe) against the holders of the European Champions League.

Not bad eh for a side that the tabloids love to lambast at every opportunity. I am very very proud of our performance and don't give a shite who knows it. We gave the Itialians a footballing lesson. That bloke Pato was a bit of a lame duck (sorry couldn't resist that) and Kaka, best player in the world???? Not on tonights showing!! We have a little English lad (shock horror, an Englishman has infiltrated that forein entity known as Arsenal!!!) who played a bit tonight, who showed real character by choosing not to go out on loan but to stay and fight for his place. Everyone in the team put in a real show of grit and character, and we also showed the Italians how to play good passing football. Effusive enough for you CitizenEd?? just count yourself lucky that I'm knackered after watching the lads or it could have been even more effusive.

    • As said, why are you not eating humble pie for a non-story? I expect that scores of landlords are unaware or made mistakes in this territory.  And this is not just the Chancellor but a married couple.  It feels like you and others are taking joy in demonising her. The only question would be is the house suitable for renting out?  I expect it is, and if not that is up to Southwark to take action rather than keyboard warriors.  The only surprises are the expense of licensing - surely time for a thread on "is licensing a money maker for local authorities?".  I'm being facetious.  And that the cost of rental, which feels fairly reasonable based on this area. By all means go after rogue landlords.  Be my guest.  I was horrified to see some of the properties rented in London and beyond by family members.  Not all bad. Oh and another question.  Haven't I got better things to do than comment on this 'no story here' thread?  😁
