I think there might not be a legal difference, but there is certainly a moral difference between a guy that leaves for work early, puts cones out to reserve his space all day when he is gone so that when he returns in the evening he has his spot vs a shop trying to deal with deliveries. Not to sAy that is right, but, a different circumstance that some might have more understanding of.

Someone has moved the cones today and taken my neighbours spot! First time someone has dared...

I agree...I think most people understand why a business regularly needing to park a van to load might want to do that....whereas the residential occupier is just highjacking the public highway for himself.

But all praise from me to the person who has challenged your neighbours cones lmao....wonder if they are an EDF follower. ;-)

In years to come, we might found out who - or which countries - has an interest in testing what happens when you post socially disruptive content online about fake events... In the meantime, thank you to our local teachers and other school workers, police community support officers and police officers. My commute happens to take me past a bunch of schools at dropoff/pickup times, and I noticed a much greater and more visible presence on streets outside/near schools than normal. Annoying as it must have been to be distracted from other important duties, I really value and appreciate them looking out for the kids. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/school-wars-trend-red-blue-london-police-latest-142328025.html https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026/jan/01/birmingham-new-year-fireworks-display-centenary-square-police
