Where to dispose of old light bulbs and batteries ?

There's the recycling centre in Sainsburys car park that has facilities for recycling both. All libraries will recycle batteries.

If the lightbulbs are incandescent/halogen they go in household waste. You might get away with just a visit to the library.

Yes, I should have said the lightbulb recycling facility at Sainsburys is for the low energy type.

Vale St, close to the Rosendale Rd / Park Hall junction. Run by Lambeth, and just seen from their website they're going to check for residency from 1 October, so you're still OK for now.

Well you'd better rush as no doubt those Brussels meddlers made our poor British retailers recycle - the quicker we are out of Europe the better so that we can send them to landfill and the poisoness components can leach into ground waters as they would have done in the old days

The Co-op has a box on the till at the end nearest the window for recycling batteries.
