FYI to all Southwarkers ( if you don't already know)

Free swimming for 16s and under will end on 30 September 2016. Lewisham Council has taken this decision because due to significant budget pressures, they can no longer afford to continue to provide this service.

Lewisham Council want as many young people to swim as regularly as possible and encourage them to continue with competitively priced swimming sessions across the five Council-run pools in the borough. Also, by joining a swimming club or swim school programme, young people may be able to take advantage of reduced prices and other offers.

Ask at reception for more details on options available to young people to enjoy swimming in Lewisham.

Free swimming for looked after children and 60s and over is not affected.

    • Wow!  Is this the remnants of a wood pigeon?  We occasionally see the feathers following a kill but only once have I seen the hawk in the garden and certainly not like your experience.
