There is no beer because of past incidents with home supporters.

There are plenty of bars in all stands at Millwall. and we dont have problems. This is NOT the 60's

The beer was not a problem in reality. We went by coach and straight into the ground so not aware there was no beer.

And no one was allowed to leave the ground as tickets already scanned. And beer is banned on ALL football coaches.

My gripe was at the state of the place. A shack in the open air selling tea coffee and very mediochre burgers.

Just look at the pictures. That is it.

Wimbledon at Plough Lane was grim especially with a full set of away fans - No cover; one bog in the corner; one caravan for food; I can't remember a bar but it was miles to the tube and one year we got stuck midweek for an hour as Chelsea attacked the tube infront

Eltham town Football ground

My boy played there yesterday, it's utter shite

There's an industrial type unit as a clubhouse. 2 bogs is a luxury

No food, or anything to drink, but there's an Esso garage with a Costa machine

The tennis courts there are literally full of rubbish, as is the perimeter of the pitches

The Police turned up, because an adult player took a swipe at the ref, "But he ducked and it missed him, so no 'arm done" explained an old 'geezer' wearing a tracksuit and Rebook Classics

Funilly tho, the carpark is rammed with new BMW's Mercedes and Range Rovers, and tinted windows galore.

The team my son played were the filthiest players so I've ever set eyes on, and now it's 11 a-side they've somehow recruited more. The team manager wears fake Stone island, last season he wore dark glasses during a winter game (big nite out?)

But, we beat them 5-2 by actually playing 'football'

There are problems outside the ground and on the trains pretty regularly though. And inside Wembley Stadium just a few months ago: http://youtu.be/Pmn46YKeDFI

Hmm Jolly nice. I'm not in the flog um and hang um brigade but there is less than a 100 of you, on film, ban um and exclusion them from the area. Always enjoyed going to the New Den. Not. See the match, leave, don't drink. The only ground in London were I feel this way. Irish Club in Spurs. Fine. Cherry Tree at Palace. Fine. Even found a friendly pub near West Am.

The place I really feared though was the Kennel, Shadwll (the Dogs) were as rough as it came.

Gillingham was fine. A bit of a bouncy floor, and you come out and expect to be ambushed on terraced street corners. But that was another age (the Baseball Ground) and some good pubs too.

Goodison is a shite hole, where you have stancions in the way, but like the fans and a pub in every corner of the ground. Bit like Brentford I suppose.

St Andrews was pretty horrid.

Anyway here is some expert opionion

And even better

If I was to name the worst in London it is QPR. And whilst Craven Cottage is the friendliest, the arrangements in the away end lead to congestion and an accident waiting to happen if there is a rush to get out of the stand. As I have raised with the safety committee although they didn't agree with me proposing closing the ground!

Sorry the facilities were so lacklustre but I feel this has opened up something for you. The pic of the condiment table is really rather good. Almost Martin Parr-esque. It really sums up lower league football, maybe you could document your travels to other grounds? Be a great antidote to the razzamatazz and showiness of the PL .

    • Big recommendation for Stephen Viccary who has created a magnificent bathroom for us. Quality of work is absolutely top notch. We couldn't be happier - see pics.  Stephen is considerate and tidy meaning working from home during the work was fine (some noise - obviously, it is a demo and installation after all. He does not work on multiple jobs, does a full days work and does ALL the work himself - Tiling, plumbing, lighting (including lighting on a motion sensor under the vanity and in the shower niche - for night time visits 😉), he even changed the door architraves, sorted the badly cracked ceiling and did all the paint work. A full end to end service. Stephen's number - 07941 266 145
    • Highly recommend Dulwich Eco Gardening.  When he came to quote Saied said he’d give our garden back so we could decide what we do next.  Under two weeks of hard work from Saied and Mo and we have the garden back and can see paving I’d forgotten about. Not only did Saied remove our very overgrown greenery. Nature had taken over. He also took back to our fence line overgrown ivy, apple and pear trees and and dealt with a neighbours bamboo that had invaded our garden.  We are now going to get quotes for what we do next so those quoting will be able to see the space.  Saied has suggested someone to quote and will be coming back when he does in case he has any questions or they can work together.  I thought Saied would be a good choice and he was. Quotes from others didn’t leave me with confidence for the end result. That was never a concern with Saied.
    • Having a BBQ (fingers crossed) in 2 weeks and need a small BBQ for veggie bits and any spare benches or garden tables and chairs to borrow to add to mine. Any going? Thanks in advance...
