baby sensory classes

has anyone done these and if so, are they any good? I have to sign up for a term and don't want even to go to the taster session in this heat, if they are rubbish. thanks in advance for any views.

hello, did this with Chee at Honor Oak Rd in a church hall place and O loved them, whilst I made a v nice friend, so happy all round, but think these classes are rather pot luck. definitely try the taster session. wouldn't be one i'd carry on but was a bit different and the under ones class was ideal for pre-crawling, as activities are more mummy's lap based. hope this is helpful and that you at least enjoy a free class!

we went to them too and thoroughly enjoyed them (so did my NCT mums that went) and we also met other mums and made new friends.

the lady who runs the classes is hilarious and the class content is good.

I'm concerned about booking up in a fit of excitement aNd then only actually making 3 of them or something. (this has been known to happen in our household.)

They are a bit surreal but the babies seem to love them. There are lots of things going on in each class and she is true to her word in that activities are not repeated (i went for around 4/5 months and aside from a couple of songs in the main bit and the starting and ending songs, each activity was different.

I couldn't run those classes - I dont know how she has the energy to do them but that's what we pay her for I guess!!

well don't tell Chee I told you so but when we were out of London for 3 weeks I asked in advance and she said I could just tack them on to the end - in a bid to entice me to re-book another set, which i didn't, but it was very kind of her (not the offical policy, but she can be flexible if you ask nicely!)

Yep she did the same for us! but you have to mention 'on the quiet' to her that you'll be away so not sure if you want to sign up for another set of 10 classes and she will offer.

i do these with my baby son (4 months) - he is a bit younger than most of the babies but he loves it - noise of other babies, songs, puppets or whatever else chee has planned for that afternoon... another bonus is that he is tired out by it so sleeps like a log that eve :)
