RosieH
Oh for sure. I'm not saying for a second that it's a good thing. Just that I think David was naive (hear that Carnell, Keef's agreeing with you and I'm calling you naive? it's like a cold day in hell) to call them idiots and talk about research. david_carnell
I'm not even sure I know how to feel about this! ;-)PR stunts are all well and good Rosie - but when directed at the wrong target, with little effect on those guilty for BP's crimes AND with almost no effect on the motorist - then it would seem that even this has failed.Greenpeace are becoming a cliche of themselves. And I'd be much more impressed if they performed some facile stunt at the BP HQ - base jumping sans parachutes for e.g than pick on defenceless garage owners/workers. RosieH
No you're right. It's only on that one point that I disagree with you - I don't think it was due to a lack of research, more a way of generating maximum publicity. david_carnell
I do wonder if your typical Greenpeace activist even knows that they're franchises though? I doubt it.It'll all be part of the "evil empire of oil". Brendan
You seem to have a unique insight into the mind of the typical Greenpeace activist David. Are you wearing sandals? Jeremy
I actually think that a barricade of their HQ, plus their offices in the City and Canary Wharf would have got them much more attention, particularly in the international media. The petrol station thing is just petty.
