PR stunts are all well and good Rosie - but when directed at the wrong target, with little effect on those guilty for BP's crimes AND with almost no effect on the motorist - then it would seem that even this has failed.

Greenpeace are becoming a cliche of themselves.

And I'd be much more impressed if they performed some facile stunt at the BP HQ - base jumping sans parachutes for e.g than pick on defenceless garage owners/workers.

No you're right. It's only on that one point that I disagree with you - I don't think it was due to a lack of research, more a way of generating maximum publicity.

I actually think that a barricade of their HQ, plus their offices in the City and Canary Wharf would have got them much more attention, particularly in the international media. The petrol station thing is just petty.
