... it starts at 7:30pm upstairs of the Magdala. When you the Magdala go round to the left of the bar and you'll find stairs, we're up there. There's going to be free drinks for a short while, not all night but please come and say hello get a free drink ticket.

We're probably going to get some pizzas made in the Magdala kitchen to be served about 8 - 8:30 if you feel peckish.

The forum's been going almost a year now and in that time it's helped form numerous groups and clubs including the East Dulwich WI, football teams and a scrabble club, local business have benefited, friends have been made and some might say it's helped create a bit more of a friendly community feel round here.

So to celebrate this we are having a party upstairs at The Magdala on Lordship Lane (the big yellow pub near the police station) on the evening of the 21st September and you're invited. It doesn't matter if you're a frequent poster of messages, have posted the odd one or two or just like to watch, everyone's welcome so hopefully you'll keep that evening free to come along and have a drink.

Now for the best bit: If you have enjoyed the forum over that time it would be great for you to raise some money to put behind the bar for all to enjoy. If you want to show your appreciation and donate but would rather your extra money went to a local charity, please say so when you submit your donation. You can donate money via PayPal, (send your amount to [email protected]) or you'll notice there's a link down at the bottom right of the site that says Donate.

Please donate the price of a few pints (London prices of course), you'll be helping to make a good night a great night.

thanks and thanks for using the forum

    • My turn to join in and sing the praises of Niko. We had a leak, which I feared would be a massive issue. Contacted him and arranged a visit quickly. He came and fixed the issue simply and straightforwardly. I really can't recommend him highly enough. Niko wIll be our first call from now on.
    • You are correct. I do run a solo cleaning company that offers resets and decluttering I've advertised here on ED forum In regards to your feminism comment, nowhere have I mentioned the gender of the reader. Men and women run homes so I'm sorry you were triggered unintentionally.  This post however is about me and in parallel refining my service. I also run my own home with 2 children and alot of the things I've learned as a solo cleaner I apply at home. Every tip trick, product and equipment gets invested back into my own life. I firmly believe in practice what you preach and I aim to ensure my advice and services are personal and lived. It means my clients get holistic support.  This isn't an advert it's me trying to learn more ways to help myself and therefore others.  Thanks for sharing your way of doing it – I like how practical your steps are, especially the rubbish and dishes by type, that makes a lot of sense.   I get where you’re coming from with the 10% everywhere approach. For me, I find doing one room at a time feels less overwhelming because I get that little boost of seeing a space fully finished. I guess it really comes down to what feels easiest and keeps you going – different methods click for different people. Angelina I think that poster took that picture off Google. Hoarding and clutter are serious mental health problems so I'm not going to entertain it.
