Low flyingm hot air balloon over East Dulwich

Stonking great hot air balloon over ED - well Peckham Rye. Quite low, drifing south east.

As its the glorious 12th, I am allowed to take a shot? It would look magnificent mounted on the wall.

I saw one last week about six in the morning - must be a regular flight in the Summer. Would love to be aboard as long as MP wasn't taking potshots.

I too saw the balloons and envied them. I took a balloon flight as a birthday present years ago - over the Herefordshire countryside. A wonderful experience.

One thing I noted was that the balloonist had little control over exactly where we landed - this made me wondewr if, just occasionally, the London balloonists may land in someone's back garden rather than Dulwich Park, or Peckham Rye.

I saw it yesterday, approx 6.15 am over Barry Road. It drifted towards Forest Hill.

I think it said "Happy Birthday" on the balloon.

Saw it again this morning at about the same time, pronably over Dawsons Heights.

Yup, I saw it too, yesterday morning around 6ish. Wonder where it takes off from and lands?

We did this last year for the other half's 30th, it was amazing and I would recommend it to others. Takes off from Hyde Park or near Vauxhall (depending on wind direction) at sunrise.
