Hi, My boy will be starting at the villa in a couple of weeks when he turns two (he'll be doing Weds-Fri) and I'm keen to find some other parents with kids already there or soon to start who might be interested in getting together.

Also very nervous about the settling in, sure he will be fine, just not sure about me!

Hi. Just to say don't worry too much. The Villa are very good at the settling in process - it's very child-led, i.e. as little or as much as the child needs and massive amounts of individual attention in those early days from the key worker. I've been through it twice (my son is now upstairs in the older class so though happy to meet up this may not be much use for you)- first time took 1 hour! next time 2 weeks.... Happy to answer any queries, but am sure it will all work out, and it's a lovely place.
hey, dont worry!!! our son has just started at The Villa and it is a fantastic nursery. I was very worried about settling him in as I am expecting a baby next week and was worried whether he'll settle before the baby comes, but he loves it there and doesnt want to go home. Will PM you as well. cheers

    • He wasn't great when interviewed on Channel 4 News this evening either, but he may get some respite tomorrow with the breaking Nandy story.
    • I was referring more to his performance at PMQs yesterday. It was quite a riot! Almost topped Mastermind
    • Agreed, he should not be held accountable over the mess up over release of prisoners. On the other hand he did himself no favours with his gaffes on the BBC Master Mind programme where he passed on five questions. Where he did answer, here are some of his responses.... When asked who succeeded Henry VIII, Lammy incorrectly answered “Henry VII,” When asked which French scientist won Nobel prizes for both physics and chemistry?” Lammy responded with “Antoinette” When asked which fortress was built to defend Paris and later used as a prison, he answered “Versailles". When asked which variety of blue English cheese is often taken with port, he answered "Leicester" If nothing else he was entertaining.
    • Why do you think he should be toast? All these problems with the prison service apparently go way back, long before Labour took over.
