Pest Control

Last weekend had some rodent problems in our kitchen and following recommendations contacted Craig Brown of Browns Pest Control.

He and his assistant Ed came round quickly, sorted out the problem, sealed a few entry points and checked the rest of the house and loft to make sure everything was ok.

Very friendly, explained how to avoid further problems and was very good value compared to Rentokil and comparable to the Southwark Council service which was quite hard to access.

Would happily recommend Craig who can be contacted on 07989 343136

Another recommendation for Craig Brown. We had a flea problem courtesy of a visiting neighbour's cat(!)and I contacted Craig on the basis of good reviews on this site. He answered my questions in a friendly and comprehensive manner and came round to deal with the problem promptly.

I was concerned that there were still some fleas around a few days later and contacted Craig who explained that the spray would still be working but if there were more fleas in the next day or so then he would come back to respray the property. Thankfully, he was right and we have had no further problems since.

I would thoroughly recommend Craig to anyone experiencing pest control problems. His number is 07989 343136.

Craig is excellent I would thoroughly recommend him. We had issues with rodents from a neighbour's property. With a newborn I was worried and quite scared but Craig was so reassuring, thoughtful and thorough. He offered to deal with next door too and has been happy to provide recommendations following the service.

Rodents all gone thanks to Craig. Hope that helps!

Another shout for Craig brown - great, fast job done. After hearing thumping in our attic and the pitter patter of tiny feet... Craig discovered a hole n our roof where a squirrel was coming in. also plugged all of the mouse holes and so far, so much quieter.

he does follow up cal and follow up service too. Nice friendly local bloke.

I would NOT recommend Craig Brown for pest control. It seems like my experience was similar to others: he came round for a first visit, did some treatments, charged me for a return visit too but then in spite of many many messages and me chasing, he never came back. I still have the problem and am down a lot of money.

We had used Craig twice in the past (based on ED recommendations) and he WAS ok. Two weeks ago, our tenant had spotted mice therefore we called Craig as before. We paid him for a more expensive package that includes a guarantee until end of this year, but we could not get him to come back after the first visit. He kept on giving excuses e.g. daughter in hospital, he will return calls later...etc. Eventually he stopped answering my calls.

A guarantee is worthless if it is not redeemable. Not only we wasted money, we also regretted wasting time on him wishing he could fulfil his end of bargain, causing much stress for us and our tenant. We have moved on to a different pest controller.

We have just finished a 3 part treatment from Critter Solutions Pest Control and would highly recommend their service.

Roger is friendly, trustworthy and professional. He has solved the mice issue at the flat (no more sighting) and guarantees to come back if we see any more mice in the next 18 months.

We can see why Critter Solutions have such glowing reviews at ED Forum and we wish we had used them earlier.

Just wanted to record my bad experience with Craig at Brown's Pest Control. When we first reported the issue, he was very quick to book a time and come round. He appeared to know what he was doing, but I later discovered that the wrong types of baits had been placed out (for rats rather than mice), and that the blocking up of holes was also incredibly shoddy.

This treatment proved ineffectual, and we were not able to contact Craig again despite having paid extra for him to supposedly guarantee a return visit - he started off by making excuses similar to the ones mentioned above, and ended up simply ignoring our phone calls / messages. We ended up having to give up on him and had to pay for another local pest controller.

    • Perhaps Gooseygreeny was not familiar with the wildlife before Gala was imposed on the park, since when its value to wildlife has deteriorated. The Park had never been disturbed before, as the council had respected it as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation, so only the Common was licensed by them as a site for events. The first time Gala held their event, there was a tree with woodpeckers nesting in it right in the middle of the main field they used and thrushes, blackbirds and great tits nesting within the shrubs and trees immediately surrounding the field. The woodpeckers were thriving on ants from the anthills in the grass. To those of us who used to enjoy watching the wildlife, it was very obviously a Site of Importance for a variety of birds. Despite being accessed by the public and their dogs, it had been relatively undisturbed,  which was one of the main reasons why it was so special and why I have been opposed to the Gala festival being held during the bird nesting season.
    • So dangerous!    Can you be more specific about the road this was in and when you report it?  Maybe there’s some CCTV footage available
