nylonmeals
I am going back to work after maternity leave in January and wondered if this was the right time to start the hunt for a nanny/nanny-share? A few people have told me that its not worth looking too far in advance as people's situations change, or maybe I am far too late and should have started the hunt months ago :-(Also - does anyone know if there any specific places that specialize in bi-lingual nannies. My husband is French and ideally we'd like a French speaking nanny. Any advice would be very useful! Thanks. womanofdulwich
i would put feelers out now- especially as you may know nannies whose families are expecting in january and so will be redundant then. i would not spend much money on it just yet then step it up in october. good luck:)) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13165-2-quick-questions-re-nannies/#findComment-359097 Share on other sites
EDZ
Find the nanny share first if you are going that route (and I recommend it both for cost and the benefit to your child of having another child to interact with). Finding the right nanny share is harder and then you can start looking for a nanny together. I think I started looking 3 months before I went back to work.
