Ko
dulwich library takes books sometimes, but they get a bit inundated they tell me! st christophers charity shop on lordship lane has a kids book section so they would take them (you might want to ring though before you take them to make sure they are taking donations that day as they get full up too). Bellenden Jo
You could always just put them out the front of your house in a box with a note saying help yourself. I've got rid of loads of books this way when the charity shop wouldn't take them. Of course, it has to be on a day when it isn't going to rain! Jessie
Yes, was also going to suggest Children's A&E. After receiving some excellent care from nurses and doctors there last night, has prompted me to pack some of my son's old books up and take along at the weekend. JessicaCT
Does your daughter's school have a book stall at its Christmas fair? (Heber does, btw) Or is it doing a school jumble sale this term? If you can bear to hang on to them till then, you could donate them to that, then your daughter will, in a round about way, benefit too.http://midlifemanual.wordpress.com/ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13234-book-problems/#findComment-360580 Share on other sites
redpanda
Another option is to drop them off at the Oxfam book shop in Herne Hill. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13234-book-problems/#findComment-360614 Share on other sites
