Ciao!

The first Friday Rah Rah for 2015.

Bring your 1Ltr bottle of water for the arm, shoulder and back toning.

In 2014, we had 30 members on one Saturday, lets get it up to 40 or more for 2015.

McCabe will be back in a few weeks time - this is my first extended holiday in donkeys years, and loving it :-)

McCabe xx

Sun is due to bless us on Saturday, please come along if you're in 'New Year Resolution' mood still. We are super friendly, you don't have to compete against anyone but yourself, and we have coffee after which is where the bonding takes place!

Sorry for the post Rah Rah, arrived back from Marrakech during the early hours.

Hope your session went well this morning!

I will start to plough through my emails shortly and will responsed to anyone wishing to join.

Best!

  • 2 weeks later...

We've had 2 newbies join us in recent weeks, welcome! All you people out there worrying you won't be fit enough, or may be too fit (!) please come and see. We don't leave anyone behind and there are varying levels of activity. Also-no cliques, we're totally welcoming and friendly!!

AND-bonding takes place after the session which is why we all get on so well

McCabe is back in the morning after a wee break.

This would normally have gone out much earlier, mais, I attached my new heavy duty lock to my scooter I picked up this afternoon and it wouldn't unlock for hours!

Bring a 1Ltr bottle of water for arm, shoulder & back toning - also rehydration :-)

10am, Sat, by the Rye Caf? (in the middle of the Rye Park).

Totally FREE, NAY yearly, monthly nor weekly fee. Bring some change for a tea / coffee at the end.

McCabe

Hi all!

This is the Thursday Rah Rah email that is going out on Friday afternoon.

Trainers by the front door and a 1Ltr bottle of water ready too. If..... its cold in the morning, do the clever thing and fill it with warm water to keep your hands warm (if you swap the bottle between hands from time to time).

Sat, 10am at the caf? on Peckham Rye Park - for the new people on this list, I will be in a purple top with a cardio trace on my back.

Bring some change for a tea / coffee.

Catch you in the morning!

McCabe

Was it me, or did we have most of the park involved in exercise through team building this morning?

Power walkers, joggers and runners working to sections of just c.300m, albeit the faster ones circle back to the power walkers so about 450m and more calories burnt. And.... totally FREE!

In the coming months I will restart the Tuesday evening sessions again - meeting point on the Rye by Barry Road / Zebra crossing.

Have a super weekend!

McCabe

Trainers, appareil, 1Ltr bottle of water and change for a tea / coffee by the door.

I'm tempted to do something different to the norm in the morning, so please be prompt for 10am, and it will be just a 45-min session - an early finish...... Yah!!!!!!

** Theme **

1. Concentric & Eccentric Contraction

2. Hand / Eye co-ordination

3. Abduction

Happy Easter to all!

McCabe

Are you ready?

Vous etes pret?

Estas listo?

Sind Sie bereit?

All things being equal, we are going to make a ?5 contribution next Saturday for the boys who are cycling 700 miles, climbing 3 mountains and then....... doing the London Marathon. For their mother who is in remission - towards Cancer Research UK.

The fitness group always remains FREE, while every quarter we will donate a fiver, 5 squid, or those lovely golden coins to a health cause.

Catch you in the morning, I may be a wee bit late due to the BBC Radio London experience when Fitness Julia will be on LIVE at 8-45am - 94.9MHz.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hope this wind has dropped by Saturday-it will really test my devotion to this group!

Please come along if you're out there lurking and thinking that one day you will be brave enough! I was and now I'm part of the furniture.

THIS SATURDAY-MAKE IT YOUR FIRST SESSION, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

    • You'd need to get a proper quote (or three) for instance removing a cast iron bath is a very different job from removing an acrylic one. Again what pipe work will be being joined into - matching old imperial pipes with modern metric ones is different from like to like, as is dealing with a copper or an iron distribution system. The amount (area) of retiling required is an issue, as will be the state of the wall behind the tiles. It may of course all be very plain sailing, or not. Have a first look at plumber recommendations on the relevant pages on this site. If it's all easy then 3 days work may be sufficient. But it could be a week if there are snags.
    • Hi. Can anyone suggest a plumber for the job below? Replace bath tub with a shower enclosure, putting pipes to showerhead behind wall, re-titling damaged/removed tiles Also any idea of the costs involved for the labour as we will buy the items required?
    • Aria came round to fix my tub drain when I'd messed up the seal. Came within hours, fixed the tub, and ran a bath to make sure it was okay. Here's where the fun starts. While he was over, I asked him questions about the rest of the plumbing round the house. I had just moved into a Victorian home that was previously being rented. Unsurprisingly, we found another leak in the tub and a drip in the kitchen tap.  He came back the next day to put a better pipe in my bathtub and replace the kitchen sink. Painstakingly figured out how to replace the hard-to-access kitchen sink without cutting through the wood panel with the help of his builder friend, Mark. Answered all my questions and clearly knew his stuff. All this right before Christmas holidays!
