Hi folks,

I'm going through a bit of a stressful time at the moment, but to my chagrin I can't take Kalms like I normally do as I am BF. I was up for about 5 hours last night because I was anxious and couldn't sleep, not doing that again.

Is there anything over the counter which would be suitable? Is rescue remedy any good?

I would try rescue remedy, thats safe to take and is safe for babies to take too. I used this in the first weeks of breastfeeding and had no problems whatsoever. The do a sleep one too, instead of the yellow label is purple. You may want to try that also.

Hope you can get a better night sleep :)

its practically full moon ladies...I had a bad one too...you could try listening to a CD or track which helps to relax the mind. I find that the ultimate deep sleep recorded by a hypnotherapist does wonders. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultimate-Deep-Sleep-Lorraine-Ireland/dp/0954971914.

I have always found reflexology helpful in dealing with these kind of sleep problems. After my second and third children, I went to a wonderful reflexology therapist (very different from the beauty salon variety) called Katie Sedgwick. She is based in East Dulwich and specialises in maternity and post natal treatments and is very soothing. Here's her website Katie Sedgwick There are lots of recommendations for her on the forum, too.

Best of luck. It's hard when you don't get enough sleep.
