Bumpkin
Is it moving? Has been on off for ages! I'm hoping to get little on in for Jan, but just working out how to cope with getting to potential Nunhead venue and to work and do pick up without going slightly mad (Mr B probably working out of town around that time helpfully..).Also, any feedback on how good it is?Thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13612-gumboots/ Share on other sites
kristymac1
Hiya,We registered with Gumboots earlier in the year and they were planning their 'imminent' move then..... They were proposing to provide a minibus from the CP road site to the temporary one in Nunhead each morning for the duration of the development - so you wouldn't need to worry about getting yourself and Bub to Nunhead. As far as I could tell it was/is a very good nursery (administration a little hit and miss - but aren't they all?), subsequently we were offered a place for my daughter at Mothergoose Greendale and snapped it up - haven't heard anything from Gumboots....... Jamma
In what sense are you planning to get your baby into Gumboots in January? We've been on the waiting list for 18 months and still not at the top!But yes the plan is to move to Nunhead this month as I understand it. Minibus in the morning but you'll have to make your own arrangements at the end of the day. And they hope to be back in East Dulwich in six months. They won't be. lorraineliyanage
They are moving on Thursday 21st of October. What Jamma said sounds right - probably will be back in a year. Also to add we waited for 2 years before getting a place. kristymac1
It depends very much on the age of your child, there always seems to be far shorter waiting lists for the pre-school group, where-as the list grows for toddlers and in many cases, nurseries have closed their books for babies. I know people who have got their little ones (preschool) into Gumboots this year with only a month to wait - they were also able to be very flexible regarding days, opting for the less popular ones so that would also have helped. In my experience, it pays to badger the nursery managers to make sure they don't 'forget' the list.... Bumpkin
Thanks, have been on waiting list for 2 years now, so in with a fighting chance but you never know... just wanted to see if there was much feedback from current parents on how happy their toddlers are there. Minibus sounds good, but probably need to settle in first hmm. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13612-gumboots/#findComment-368265 Share on other sites
