Minitoots
Our SkyPlus box has finally conked out and we're wondering if there are any other comparable options - what's the virgin TV version like? We don't really need the phone line broadband options they also offer. We got Sky for the football /sport channels but don't know much about Virgin or any other similar options - any recommendations would be great!thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13619-sky-plus-vs-virgin-tv-recommendations/ Share on other sites
Minitoots
Has anyone got any good deals when 'pretending' to cancel their Sky subscriptions? SCSB79
Minitoots Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> Has anyone got any good deals when 'pretending' to> cancel their Sky subscriptions? We got 50% off for 6 months - but bear in mind it is just the basic package they take 50% off, extras like sports, movies, don't get the discount.Apparently Sky are losing lots of customers right now and are offering all sorts to keep them.Give it a try - no harm. Our neighbours were given 25% off for a year... Strawbs
yes I have, we have sky plus which I think is fab, have never had virgin so cant say.. I called up and said I was going to cancel as too expensive and they knocked off 50% for the next 6 months.. apparently they have loyalty offers that they offer to their customers but you have to ask for it.. Narnia
I got 6 months @ 50% off the full Sky package so my experience is different to SCSB79's. We have the basic channels of Virgin in my son's room (as it is free with my current package). I don't actually watch TV there but when you are used to Sky's layout you may not like Virgin's as its quite different. It does have BBci though which Sky hasn't got.I got the discount when I phoned to cancel. OliviaDee
definitely Sky. My Virgin BB is really dodgy - never had that prob with Sky. The same package with Virgin it is a lot more expensive - and i LOVE Sky's TV pause, and being to record a whole series as part of the basic package.actually i really HATE virgin Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/13619-sky-plus-vs-virgin-tv-recommendations/#findComment-408701 Share on other sites
