I just wanted to recommend Bastek Interiors for the excellent job they did with our new bathroom. It was a complete refurbishment and we wanted a very modern, sleek look. Sebastian and his team's attention to detail and understanding of design, building and plumbing meant we got exactly what we wanted - our dream bathroom. I can't recommend this local company highly enough.

I also wanted to add my recommendation to this - Sebastian and his team recently completed my bathroom renovation and did a brilliant job. They are really efficient and hard working - and his communication is excellent, he always kept me up to date via WhatsApp and email. My bathroom looks amazing!

I had Sebastian and the Bastek team complete my bathroom project having seen the recommendations on here. They certainly didn't disappoint. Not only did they provide me with lots of help and advice before starting the project, they were completely reassuring to work with throughout it.

The Whatsapp group was brilliant, being able to check on products and placements throughout, whilst not needing to be around. They couldn't have been more helpful and have done a brilliant job with fabulous attention to detail.

Sebastian came to do a complete rip out and refit of my bathroom as well as replacing flooring on a new small bathroom fitted badly. It was a massive job, not least because I had designed it and wasn?t completely sure it would all fit. Sebastian was amazing from start to finish. Always prompt, skilled, unbelievably hard working, very tidy, kind and tolerant of my 10 month old who just wanted to ?help? him all the time and his work is flawless. He always checked and explained everything to me at all stages of the project. He was the ultimate professional. Our new bathroom is amazing. If I decide to redo the kitchen Sebastian will be the first person I call. We even left him house keys to finish off the last few bits whilst we went abroad for 2 weeks; that is how trustworthy he is. See before and after photos attached. PM me if you want to come and see his work in person.

Another recommendation for Sebastian / Bastek Interiors who stripped and fitted a new shower room to a very high spec. We were very pleased with Sebastian?s work. He has good attention to detail, is a good communicator and is very easy to deal with. Sebastian kept us fully informed via a WhatsApp group and was happy to discuss issues and propose solutions as the project progressed. Very happy to recommend.

Sebastian and his team recently completed a total kitchen refit, and I would highly recommend them.

The old kitchen was completely ripped out and new kitchen installed impeccably. Sebastian was very helpful each step along the way, with advice and regular useful updates on progress via WhatsApp and email.

A pleasure to work with and I would happily recommend Sebastian and Bastek Interiors. www.bastekinteriors.co.uk

Sebastian has just completed a total bathroom refit for us. He did a brilliant job! He kept us informed throughout the project, asked questions about things we hadn't thought of and gave great advice. His work is meticulous and his attention to detail is amazing. I would definitely recommend him.

Sebastian did a complete rip out and newly configured bathroom for us a few years ago. He was excellent; trustworthy, tidy, good timekeeping, with an amazing work ethic. Sebastian has had to spend a lot of time abroad caring for relatives recently but now he’s back he remains our trustworthy number one call for anything bathroom/kitchen related from re-tiling floors to re-configuring a space. Our bathroom still looks like new even with a small family 4 years on because Sebastian did such a good job. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him

I would highly recommend working with Sebastian at Bastek Interiors for your bathroom refit. He refit our bath, vanity and counter top sink, toilet, completely re-tiled and even painted our bathroom. It looks absolutely brilliant. He was very punctual, a great communicator and very fair. I would recommend his services without hesitation.

Thanks,

Will

I am also writing a recommendation for Sebastian at Bastek Interiors. Sebastian did a complete refit of our tired bathroom, including stipping everything back to the bare walls and insulating, plastering, tiling and fitting units, an extractor fan and lighting. He is a wonderful person to work with - he gives sensible advice, asks good questions at the right time and is the tidiest contractor I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He has a high quality threshold and the finished job was described by my daughter as "5 star hotel". Strong recommend. The before and after pictures attached.

Another recommendation for Sebastian at Bastek. He completely redid our family bathroom and transformed it into such a beautiful space. He is methodical in his work, really pays attention to detail and gives clear, considered advice.  As well as fitting the new bathroom suite so carefully, he did a fabulous job with the tiling, painting and finishes. An added bonus was the great communication and tidiness!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and hope to involve him in future projects. He's on 07947 751333 and is really responsive on WhatsApp.

And another recommendation for Sebastian at Bastak Interiors.  This was our first bathroom fit as new homeowners and we were really anxious about choosing the right person for the job and someone we felt comfortable with - but Sebastian surpassed our expectations. He was really clear, communicative and gave us great advice and support on the decisions we needed to make.

We'll definitely be looking to work with hims again on the next phases of work. Absolute joy to work with!

He even brought treats for our dog to help her settle with having a stranger in the house and she became obsessed with him 😅

Bit of a dust-off and coffee break scroll through old reviews
Appreciate every single one of them – thanks again to everyone who’s got in touch over the years!
Just giving this thread a light refresh with updated info – mainly for anyone new around here who hasn’t come across me before.
Hope that’s all good forum-wise, but if not, happy to adjust or repost as needed!

    • Honestly, the squirrels are not a problem now.  They only eat what has dropped.  The feeders I have are squirrel proof anyway from pre-cage times.  I have never seen rats in the garden, and even when I didn't have the cage.  I most certainly would have noticed them.  I do have a little family of mice which I have zero problem about.  If they stay outside, that's fine with me.  Plus, local cats keep that population down.  There are rats everywhere in London, there is plenty of food rubbish out in the street to keep them happy.  So, I guess you could fit extra bars to the cage if you wanted to, but then you run the risk of the birds not getting in.  They like to be able to fly in and out easily, which they do.
    • Ahh, the old "it's only three days" chestnut.  I do hope you realise the big metal walls, stages, tents, toilets, lighting, sound equipment, refreshments, concessions etc don't just magically appear & disappear overnight? You know it all has to be transported in & erected, constructed? And that when stuff is constructed, like on a construction site, it's quite noisy & distracting? Banging, crashing, shouting, heavy plant moving around - beep beep beep reversing signals, engines revving - pneumatic tools? For 8 to 10 hours a day, every day? And that it tends to go on for two or three weeks before an event, and a week after when they take it all down again? I'm sure my boys' GCSE prep won't be affected by any of that, especially if we close the windows (before someone suggests that as a resolution). I'm sure it won't affect anyone at the Harris schools either, actually taking their exams with that background noise.
    • Thanks for the good discussion, this should be re-titled as a general thread about feeding the birds. @Penguin not really sure why you posted, most are aware that virtually all land in this country is managed, and has been for 100s of years, but there are many organisations, local and national government, that manage large areas of land that create appropriate habitats for British nature, including rewilding and reintroductions.  We can all do our bit even if this is not cutting your lawn, and certainly by not concreting over it.  (or plastic grass, urgh).   I have simply been stating that garden birds are semi domesticated, as perhaps the deer herds in Richmond Park, New Forest ponies, and even some foxes where we feed them.  Whoever it was who tried to get a cheap jibe in about Southwark and the Gala festival.  Why?  There is a whole thread on Gala for you to moan on.  Lots going on in Southwark https://www.southwark.gov.uk/culture-and-sport/parks-and-open-spaces/ecology-and-wildlife I've talked about green sqwaky things before, if it was legal I'd happily use an air riffle, and I don't eat meat.  And grey squirrels too where I am encourage to dispatch them. Once a small group of starlings also got into the garden I constructed my own cage using starling proof netting, it worked for a year although I had to make a gap for the great spotted woodpecker to get in.  The squirrels got at it in the summer but sqwaky things still haven't come back, starlings recently returned.  I have a large batch of rubbish suet pellets so will let them eat them before reordering and replacing the netting. Didn't find an appropriately sized cage, the gaps in the mesh have to be large enough for finches etc, and the commercial ones were £££ The issue with bird feeders isn't just dirty ones, and I try to keep mine clean, but that sick birds congregate in close proximity with healthy birds.  The cataclysmic obliteration of the greenfinch population was mainly due to dirty feeders and birds feeding close to each other.
    • Another recommendation for Niko - fitted me in the next day, simple fix rather than trying to upsell and a nice guy as well. Will use again
