used engine oil

Does anyone know the best way to legally dispose of used engine oil please?

It's in 2 large tins.

I'm pretty sure the recycling centre off The Old Kent Road will take it, but best check first.

In fact I know they do, because I took some up there, duh.

Mix with creosote and paint it on fencing panels.

Worked for my Granddad in the war.
