searchlights

for the past few weeks I've regularly seen searchlights in the sky until at leat 1am.

I live in forest Hill near the horniman up a hill-they seem to be coming from the direction of East Dulwich or Peckham.

I first noticed them about a month ago and they were out in force last night until the early hours.

PLEASE can anyone put me out of my misery and tell me where they're coming from and why?

There are laser lights projected from the Shard over the Christmas period, they reflect off the cloud cover - they swing round in a circle pointing out from the top of the Shard. That may be what you are seeing.

Yes I see them - north of Peckham so Shard it'll be probably

stuck my head out of the Anderson shelter last night to see the spot lights were still there

Was near Shard just before Xmas. Lights were bright cutting through the clouds. Took a pic from the ground..
